Mobility

We start young learning colors, painting, and using our imaginations to create art

The Greene County Museum  has parking  spaces located directly behind the building, with two accessible parking spots located nearest to the main entrance. The parking lot is accessible from the main entrance off of 3rd St. There is a ramp into the entrance, though it exceeds a 5% grade slope. The entrance is accessible by 1 pull door. The gallery is 1 floor with easy access to handicap bathrooms for men and women. There is plenty of  seating available in the gallery. The bathrooms are on the same floor as the gallery located in the back of the building. If you are needing additional accommodations please do not hesitate to contact us 252-747-1999.

We make it a priority to be digitally accessible in more ways than one

Digital Accessibility Statement

The Museum is also committed to providing a website that is accessible to everyone. To further this commitment, we are using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA , which provides standards for making web content more accessible for all visitors, including people with disabilities.

Specifically, we focus on the Greene County Museum's website, where we utilize assistive technologies such as screen reader software, keyboard-only navigation, color contrast analyzers, and magnification tools to create an inclusive experience.  We believe that accessibility goes hand in hand with usability. That’s why we not only strive to meet minimum accessibility standards but aim to exceed them, ensuring that our website is easy to navigate for everyone. If you encounter any challenges while accessing our digital content, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to help and committed to resolving any issues you may face.
